Timberwood Park
The neighborhood has a city park inside it on Kingfisher. It is the only one of the five you can walk to.
| Where | "2600 Blk. Of Kingfisher in the Timberwood subdivision"1 |

| Hours | 8:00 AM to dark1 |
| Size | 1.59 acres on the county roll.2 The city says it "covers 3 acres of land".1 |
| Opened | The city says "The park was established in 1986".1 The reserve was dedicated on the 1977 plat. |

What is there
"Picnic tables", "Playground equipment", "2 half-court basketball areas".1
That is the whole published list. The city page names no pavilion, no restroom and no walking path, and this site has not confirmed whether any of those exist.
Getting there
It is in the 2600 block of Kingfisher, inside the neighborhood.1 Every street in Timberwood is a short walk from it, and the parcel it sits on is on the map.
The two acreage figures do not agree
The appraisal district's public data file puts the park parcel at 1.59 acres,2 and the city's page says three acres.1 The city does not say where its 1986 date comes from either. The land was set aside as a reserve when the section was platted in 1977.
Still open
- Whether the playground has been rebuilt since 1986, and when
- Which acreage figure is correct, and whether the city is counting the drainage reserve next to it
- Whether the park can be reserved for a party, and how. The city publishes a pavilion rental for Schott Park and nothing for Timberwood.
- Whether any youth sports leagues use the park
- Whether there is a restroom
