Who can join

Anyone who lives in Timberwood can join, whether you own your house or rent it. Most accounts open right away as soon as the name and address match the county record. An admin approves the rest by hand.

If you do not live here you cannot join, and that includes a company that works here. The form that reaches an admin only takes messages from members, so somebody outside the neighborhood cannot write in. Anything they want changed has to go through a neighbor.

You do not need an account to read the Record or Services. You do need one to post a notice, add a company, suggest a correction, or send a message to an admin.

How names appear

You sign up with your full name and full address. The site shows only a first name, a last initial and a street. Your house number stays hidden unless you turn it on for your own posts.

The last initial is there so that two neighbors with the same first name on the same street are not mistaken for each other.

Three subjects that do not belong here

Politics.
Crime reports and suspicious-person posts.
Disputes naming another neighbor.

What happens to suggestions

Suggestions go to an admin. If one checks out then it becomes part of a page and that page gets a new checked on date. If it cannot be confirmed then it is closed and you are told why.

An admin reads a neighbor's first notice before it goes on the board. After that theirs go up when they post them.

What an admin can see

An admin can see the whole site. That means member contact details and every notice including the ones still waiting for approval, and a record of activity on the site.

Nothing is collected from anywhere outside this site.
