Who runs this

Hello. My name is Carlos and I live here in Timberwood, on Pheasant Run.

I have been in this neighborhood for more than 25 years, in three different homes, and my wife and I raised our four children here.

Over that time I kept noticing the same thing. There was no good place for people here to share what they knew. The Facebook group is a start, and I am glad it exists, but it is not built to hold information. A question gets asked, a few people answer, and a week later the whole thread is gone. Two years on somebody asks the same question and we do it again from scratch.

I thought a central place to keep that information would work better. That is why I built this.

How it works

When a question gets a real answer, it becomes a page. The page says where the information came from and when it was last checked, so you can go look at the ordinance or the county record yourself instead of taking my word for it.

It is free. There are no ads, nothing on it is for sale, and no business pays to be listed. I am not collecting anything to sell to anybody, and you do not need an account to read any of it. The only thing it costs is my time.

What I need from you

I need to know what is wrong with it and what is missing.

I have already gotten things wrong. There was a page here telling people which streets are in a flood zone, and the numbers on it were badly off. I only found it because I went back and checked. There will be more like that, and I would rather hear it from a neighbor than leave it sitting there.

At the bottom of every page there is a box that says Improve this page or Suggest a change to this page. That is the whole system, and it is the best way to reach me. Tell me:

• Something here is wrong, especially about your street.
• Something is missing that should be here.
• You looked for something and could not find it.

You can also use the contact form.

Some pages are marked needs a neighbor. Those are questions no public record answers, where the only person who knows is somebody who lives on that street. If that is you, I would like to hear from you.

One promise

I am not going to put anybody's name and address on this site. The map is built from county records that are already public, and even so it names no resident. If something on here about your house bothers you, tell me and I will take it off.
